Press Conference to be held to announce 2014 Kansas Shrine Bowl
A press conference to officially announce the return of the Kansas Shrine Bowl to Pittsburg will be held, Friday, March 16th at 2:30 p.m. at Carnie Smith Stadium on the campus of Pittsburg State University. In the event of inclement weather the conference will be held in the lower level of the Wilkinson Alumni Center at the corner of Joplin and Ford. (Download Full Release)

KANSAS SHRINE BOWL AWARDS 2014 GAME TO PITTBURG
The Crawford County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is proud to announce that Pittsburg and Pittsburg State University have been awarded the 2014 Kansas Shrine Bowl. Pittsburg and Topeka were the finalist for the 2014 game. Both communities were asked to present proposals in front of the Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors on February 18th. The Board of Directors then made their decision to award the game to Pittsburg on March 3rd. (Download Full Release)

CRAWFORD COUNTY CVB AWARDS GRANTS
Events and organizations ranging from a museum to a bike race were recipients of more than $6,000 in grant funds from the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Recipients include the Kansas State Bicycling Championships sponsored by Tailwind Cyclists, the Smokin’ Hot Bar-B-Que and Fireworks presented by the Celebrate Girard! Committee, the PITT Open disc golf tournament and “The Way We Worked” Smithsonian exhibit coming to the Miner’s Hall Museum in 2013. (Download Full Release)

CRAWFORD COUNTY CVB ANNOUNCES TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS
The Crawford County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is happy to announce that Chris Kelly and Christy Vulgamore have been selected to the organizations ten person Advisory Board. They will be replacing former board members, Mindy Cloninger and Joe Bournonville, who were ineligible for re-election due to term limits. (Download Full Release)
